Show Details Note: Stefa's birthday in documents was: 5 September 1911

By Viktor Bekkerman:

Birthday year was a topic of some dinner conversations between Yadia and her sister Stefa. Apparently by 1926, family didn't have any documents. It could be due to Bolsheviks destroying Catholic books, or some other reason. In short, when children had to be reported in 1926 Soviet Census, their older brother Kostus had to figure out whose birthday was when and mixed up Yadia and Stefa. As result, both lived their whole life with swapped birthday years.

I corrected birthdays in this tree, which would make it different from official documents.

On the top of the year confusion, Stefa didn't know when her birth-day was. She always said it was when family was collecting potato harvest in early fall. Her husband Yasha picked a day for her as Sep 5th. Looks like he didn't pick it randomly. Polish Catholic name day for Stefania ‎(Stefa)‎ is Sep 18, adjusting from Julian calendar to Gregorian makes it Sep 5.

Show Details Note: The original name of the place before revolution:
Khutor Brigidovo, Yanovo area, Putchino village council, Koydanov District, Minsk Gubernia

After revolution Koydanov District was renamed to Dzershinsk district and Yanovo was no longer mentioned.

So in Russian, until mid 1930th, the new name would have been:
Дзержинский р-н, Путчинский сельсовет, хутор Бригидово

The khutor Brigidovo and Yanovo area are no longer exist. The actual location of the khutor is not clear to anyone in the family. We estimate that the place was somewhere between villages Sadovschina and Skorobogatovschina. It belonged to Putchino village council, so it would not be too far from Putchino.

Место находилось где-то между селами Садовщина и Скоробогатовщина, принадлежало к Путчинскому сельсовету.
